In the past, parents have asked what supplies are needed for school's opening and our response has
always been to wait until the teacher informs your child. The teachers have agreed that these basic
supplies will make for a successful beginning of the school year. You may purchase these items
wherever it is convenient for you (these items are available in the office during the school year only.)
_____1 six –inch ruler (all L.A., Math & Science classes)
_____wide-ruled loose-leaf paper
_____ 2 pens (blue or Black ink)
_____1 red pen
_____5 pocket folders
_____3 sharpened # 2 pencils
or
Mechanical pencils with refills
_____ 1 large pencil eraser
_____ 200 (3x5) index cards
_____ 2 hi-liters (different colors)
_____3 single subject spiral notebooks & 3 folders
_____ Pencil case to hold all of the above (“fanny packs” small zippered purse or any soft-sided pouch. (Hard
pencil boxes & “built-in” back packs have proven not to be practical when changing classes)
_____ 1 Composition notebook (graph or lined) all 6th grade math students
_____ 1 Composition Notebook (lined) Grade 6 Social Studies; Grade 7 Geography; Grade 8 LA
_____ 1(3 subject) Spiral notebook for 7th grade LA
______ (1 ½”) 3 ring binder for Grade 7 & 8 Math and a 2 pocket folder with fasteners both to be red
______ (2”) 3 ring binders with wide ruled loose leaf paper for Grade 7 science and a 2 pocket folder with
fasteners both to be blue
Please note: Individual teachers may require specific types of folders and notebooks. Students will be advised
of these needs during the first few days of school. All students at Saint Timothy Middle School are required to purchase a
special assignment pad, a Composition Notebook for writing lab and an Art Supply Fee. Families are invoiced for the
assignment pad, the composition notebook, and the art supply fee. The students will receive these items the first week of
school.

15 cents each = pens (blue, black, red, or green ink)
10 cents each = sharpened pencils
75 cents each = six-inch STMS ruler or twelve inch ruler
$1.00 each = hi-liters (different colors) or $4.25 for a package
$2.00 each = for a canvas pencil case / $1.75 each = for plastic pencil case
25 cents = 25 sheets of wide-ruled loose-leaf paper/$2.00 for a pkg w/200 sheets
$2.00 each = composition (lined) notebook (for all sixth graders; used with some teachers in
seventh and eighth grade)
$3.00 = graph composition notebook
75 cents each = spiral notebooks
40cents each = erasers
25 cents each = solid color two pocket folders
$2.00 each= 6” protractor
$1.00/20 = 3x5 index cards
