Other studies are being conducted with the object of gauging the impact of zinc supplementation on pneumonia, malaria and the immune system in general. main characteristics ZinCfant 20mg is a dispersible tablet particularly adapted for children between 2 months and 5 years of age. This is made possible thanks to its pleasant taste (no zinc taste) and to the fact that it is quickly dispersible in very little liquid. ZinCfant 20mg is: Dispersible in less than 45 seconds in a few drops of water or of maternal milk (1 teaspoon of liquid) Pleasant, gentle vanilla taste suitable for children and adults More economical, surer and better adapted to the treatment of diarrhoea than the zinc syrups and coated tablets generally used. Easily accepted by children and also suitable for adults. Its excellent compliance with children has been shown by various zinc impact studies (50 million tablets have been used in various parts of the world from 2000 to 2004). Acceptability tests have also confirmed the good compliance. Scored tablets make the tablets easy to use with babies (10 mg per day), following the WHO/Unicef recommendations. administration - Place the tablet in a teaspoon Update November 2004 - Add a bit of water - Let the tablet dissolve (around 30 seconds) - Give the entire spoonful to the child indications ZinCfant 20mg is suitable in the treatment of diarrhoea in connection with Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS).
