The British Fascia Symposium June 25th & 26th 2016 Bank House Hotel, Worcester, U.K. The British Fascia Symposium 2016 (BFS 16) will be held at the beautiful and convenient Bank House Hotel in Worcester. www.bankhouseworcester.com Worcester is 40 miles south of Birmingham with good access by road and train. The symposium will have sole use of the hotel. There will be a pre-conference day on Biotensegrity and there is the potential for other pre and post-conference days. Please contact us directly if you require information about running additional workshop or lecture events. Our expected number of delegates is 300-350. Experienced speakers are invited to apply to present at BFS 16. All proposals will be considered by the BFS Committee. This year there are no parallel speaker options, therefore your proposal is to be considered as a main stage speaker. We invite speakers prepared to talk about an aspect of fascia that excites them and that will excite the delegates. Lectures on specific modalities are discouraged as this event is primarily educational. (To promote a modality, please apply for a workshop or consider taking an exhibitor’s stand at the event). The aim of the BFS committee is to present an event which enlightens, informs and educates delegates and interests them in the world of fascia. Our ethos is to enlighten and educate as a community. We aim for an impartial event bringing the many and varied aspects of fascia to the delegates without imparting a sense of division or competition. We trust you will ensure that you reflect a positive attitude to other systems of fascial release work apart from your own. We also ask you not to present as fact anything that is not a scientifically based fact. If the material is there for discussion or question, or if the methodology you are discussing is known to work but the reason for its effectiveness is not fully understood or proved, then we ask you to make it clear that this is the case. Please fill in and return the following Proposal Form by email. When we have received it we will acknowledge receipt. If you do not hear from us, then do contact us. Please then be patient as the Committee has to consider the many proposals received. We will be selecting a variety of lectures in order to give fair coverage to as many aspects of fascia work as possible. Please attach a current, professional, high resolution photograph for our use should your proposal be accepted. If you have links to videos or YouTube clips of you teaching, do include them as this will help us in our decision. Should your proposal be accepted, we offer each lecturer in return one weekend ticket to BFS 16 (includes refreshments and lunches but not Gala Dinner) and one night’s Bed and Breakfast accommodation at either the Bank House Hotel or a nearby hotel with shuttle bus provided. Should you be accepted for both a lecture and a workshop, we offer two nights’ accommodation. Deadline for submission: Friday 25th September 2015. after this time can unfortunately not be considered.
