RULES & REGULATIONS
1.
BOOKINGS to be made through the Coordinator (9am - 4.00pm).
2.
All PAYMENTS are to be made in advance.
3.
SMOKING inside the building, on outside deck and ramp is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
4.
Consumption of ALCOHOL or GAMBLING on the premises is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
5.
NOISE is to be kept to a minimum. Consideration of other user groups and the neighbours is to
be adhered to at all times. Vacating the premises promptly is requested. All music must cease at
11pm, function finish at 12 midnight and premises vacated by 1am.
6.
TOILETS are to be checked and left CLEAN and LIGHTS OUT.
7.
CHAIRS & TABLES are to be returned to their appropriate storage areas.
8.
KITCHEN is only available when not in use for café or cooking lessons. Each group is
responsible for its own mess. Tea making facilities are still available on request (Urn).

STOVE is to be switched off (but not mains switch on the wall).

CUPS & DISHES are provided for your use, please wash & dry and return to storage
areas. (Please do not remove these from the premises)

NO NAPPIES in the kitchen rubbish, please take home with you.

SINK & BENCH to be left clean.

FLOOR swept and washed if necessary.

(NOTE: All cleaning equipment is kept in the storeroom)
9.
RUBBISH BAGS & TEA TOWELS are for the day to day use of the Centre. Larger groups are
asked to bring own rubbish bags (and remove) and tea towels.
10. TEA 7 COFFEE users are asked to bring their own.
11. LIGHTS,
Conditions of Hire:
I/We agree to comply with all conditions of hire and to pay a bond of $100 which will be
refunded in full unless the centre or any property belonging to the centre is lost, damaged
or any extra work is required by the centre management. E.g. Repairs, cleaning, etc.
I/We agree to accept all liability for damage and cleaning that may be required as a result
of my/our hireage of the building.
Cancellations: Ranui Community House reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of:
25% of the total hire charged if the booking is cancelled within 10 working days of
the booking date

50% if cancelled within 5 working days of the booking date

100% if cancelled within 24 hours of the starting time
Outstanding Accounts: Ranui Community Centre may refer any outstanding money you
owe us
(the debt) to an outside collection agency for recovery, and these costs and expenses will
be debited to your account.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE READ THE ABOVE CONDITIONS VERY CAREFULLY
AND HAVE UNDERSTOOD THEM AS YOU COULD BE HELD PERSONALLY LIABLE
FOR ANY EXTRA CHARGES.

HEATERS AND AIR-CONDITIONING must be turned off and WINDOWS must be
checked and secured when leaving as well as locking the door.
12. FLOORS must be vacuumed. Any mess will be cleaned at the user group’s expense.

14. ALARM must be deactivated and set as per instructions. Any Security callout is at the expense
of the user this currently being $50 per call out.
15. FAILURE of any user group to ABIDE BY THE RULES may have their hire agreement
terminated and their bond withheld at the discretion of the Coordinator.
16. Children must be supervised and have an adult with them at all times.

Not for Profit users will always take priority over business use. If a space currently used for
Business is needed for a Not for Profit organization then they will be given notice. We define
business as the following: - Economic Franchises, Health Professionals who invoice ACC or
MOH and private businesses.
The Kitchen is not available when café is open or cooking classes are being held. Tea making
facilities are still available on request (Urn). At other times there is no extra charge for the kitchen
unless booked for exclusive use.
Special arrangements can be made at the discretion of the Coordinator for
full weekend workshops etc
There is a $100.00 Bond required for Casual Hirers.
All casual hire moneys are to be paid in advance unless by prior arrangement with the Coordinator.

Money will be taken from the bond if extra cleaning is required or heaters, lights etc left on.
