Is PLAY in your DNA?

Below is my preface to SUCCESS for business and for life. The late Jim Rohn
spoke of leading with your best HEAD, HANDS, and HEART. I agree our mental,
physical, and spiritual being must all be clicking. With league season
approaching, here are some reminders to make connecting with our games and
music a memorable, fun experience to all participants.
Step 1. Check your PASSION temperature. MasterCard ads remind us what is
“priceless” in our lives. Gary Vaynerchuck in his book “Crush It! Why NOW Is
The Time To Cash In On Your Passion” states skills are cheap, passion is
priceless. Which do you have? My wish for you is both!
My partners and our new entity, Entertainment Experts, LLC, have rekindled and
fueled my passion for on-premise entertainment. These people have brought
lots of energy and focus. Their actions have helped influence me in a positive
manner. Hopefully, you, your staff, and your participants have a passion fever for
the entertainment communities that we build.
Step 2. LAUGHTER – “Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.”
This quote by Victor Borge presents a connection between your company,
consumers, users, and players. On my last birthday I received a copy of “The
Daily Book Of Positive Quotations” by Linda Picone. She states, “We’re drawn to
people who are amused by the same things that amuse us. It’s a sign of other
common interests and a similar outlook on life.” People continue to want to be
around others to have fun and to smile! This is all good for connecting in out-ofhome venues.
Step 3. PLAY, PROMOTE, and PARTICIPATE – Taking old concepts of leagues
and on-line promotions and regenerating the roadmap to SUCCESS. We must
learn to use new tools to grow our members.

As individuals, our DNA prefers different mediums to connect players to their
passion…to events, tournaments, contests, leagues, and each other. Our most
valuable currency will be gamers allowing us to become a part of their
community. We need to hear and LISTEN to what matters to them and then
discover how we as a company can surpass their needs. As players elevate
their expectations, entertainment providers must continually raise their GAME
and innovation. Find the social media medium that will best suite you and your
personality. Get started NOW.
To learn more about how to use these tools to connect to participants, check out
the publications or web sites below. I have also listed a book that should help
reclaim your passion!
