There will be three workshops running on the day, and you may choose one to participate in, however there will be an opportunity to attend most of these workshops at a later date if you choose to do so. Selection for the workshops will be done on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis on the day of the event during registration Workshop Part One Part Two ‘Food’ Using food to create a Sense of Place Practical session making welsh cakes and/or Glamorgan sausages Menu development Sourcing local produce Telling your local food story ‘Walking’ Experiencing the natural coast to create a Sense of Place ‘Art’ Using art, literature and music to create a Sense of Place A guided walk from Marcoss back to St Donat’s along the coast, using the Greenlinks bus service to reach Marcross. Learn more about walking routes in the rural Vale, the guided walks programmes and the coastline’s fascinating geology and biodiversity If you intend to join the walk please bring appropriate footwear (preferably walking boots) and wet weather gear. The walk should take around an hour and a half at most. It is graded as ‘easy to moderate’ but involves uneven ground and some stiles.
