Q 28 Do you have any further comments?
Please ask the Doctors not to try and shake my hand when I come into the room, as I feel
that could spread infection. Thank you.
Yes I think every doctor should have at least two appointments left open every day so
anyone who suddenly gets ill can be seen, or have their minds put at ease over something
they where worried about, like myself I spent over a week worried but my doctor put my
mind at ease.
I am doing this for myself and my sister because she is 94 years old. i would like to say my
sister and I are both very pleased with the surgery and the chemist for the way they look
after both of us. We both would like to say wish them all a Merry Christmas and a Happy
New Year.
My wife and I are very happy with the services provided at Markfield Medical Centre. They
are excellent and we are very grateful for them. We think that we are very fortunate to have
such wonderful services available to us. The best we've experienced and we've lived in 12
different areas in England having moved our home many times in 53 years of happily
married life. Thank God for Aneurin Bevan who was instrumental in bringing in the NHS in
the late 1940's. A happy xmas and new year to all who work in the Markfield Medical Centre.
I was asked to book an appt, Doc doesn't know what it was about!.
I think that the surgery should be open at night, say 5-7:30pm plus Sat 8-12am.
One Nurse not on time for work, which then makes me late for work
Most of the answers to the questions are different for me as I am disabled and if I require
help and advice, I have to make an appointment to be seen, If the dr required is not
available I am happy to be seen by another dr. I find it's not too difficult to either speaking
to the dr over the phone or asking for a visit
Would like to know more about the services that the nurse provides.
Leaflets would be helpful
Very difficult to get an appt for a flu jab
Waiting times in the surgery for appointments, when trying to entertain small children, are
less then satisfactory.
I saw a new dr, with my daughter and he did'nt have the time to explain what was wrong, he
gave me the name and told me to google it.
very happy with surgery and doctors
What have you done to the waiting room! Like sitting in a cinema, TV screen looks so out of
place.
Not very satisfied with Markfield Medical Centre.
OOH Doctors very poor
The privacy aspect of attending the surgery can be problem, because of receptionist vocal
responses.
Some have quite unobtrusive voices, whilst the odd one has a strident voice which carries
around the surgery, however well it is intended.
So to ensure the privacy within the surgery.
The one manning the front desk needs to be aware, speak clear, but quietly.
Happy with the care of the practice
If you decide to launch a facebook page then i feel it needs a clear purpose/function.
And why not online chat with receptionist/ doctors. Maybe twitter( i don't use it though)
Very happy and satisfied with surgery staff.
Best surgery I've ever been to. Fantastic staff. Well done!
It would be good if my choice of Doctor was available on more days of the week
Why is Pali allowed to arrive late? I have complained to the surgery. This happens
constantly.
Reception always helpful. I cannot speak to highly of the care I have been given to both me
and my partner over the last 2 years. Thank you.
Yes - I recently wanted to know if my family were up to date on vaccinations for forthcoming
cruise but receptionist & manager insisted that we each had to see the nurse independently
for risk assessment. I was pretty certain our vacs were up to date but just wanted it checked,
Three nurse appointments were unnecessarily taken up. We had to take time off work to see
the nurse to be told that our vacs were up to date!! This seemed unnecessary waste of
appointments & our time! Also the manager told me I could pay to go to the travel clinic
instead - How could they tell me if my vacs were up to date?
Only problem i have encountered at the surgery is seeing to many different doctors in a
short space of time,
I find the nurses to be dismissive and not interested in what you are saying.
On more then one occasion i have walked into a room with rubbish lying on the beds
(syringe wrapping/tissue)
communication regarding imm and vacc is poor,
Again on more then one occasion i have been turned away due to duplicated bookings ( a
phone call would reduce this)
will be so sorry to see Dr Fernandez leave.
Sometimes my experience has been of a patronising nature (Exc Dr Heaton)
Receptionists are first class (5 stars)
Staff work hard enough, so shouldn't have to open at additional times
The last time I saw a Dr. she was really very good. I dont think you could ask for better. I am
very satisfied.
My wife and I consider ourselves very fortunate in having such a first class NHS. All the staff
(Medical and Other) are providing a very professional and expert service.
Generally a really good surgery. Sometimes I do have to wait to see the Doctor when I'm
here. Generally get appointments quickly. Feel we can rely on the service.
There is no way of determining the time other than radio Leicester news bulletins on the
hour and half hour.
Why is there not a clock in reception????
Poor appointment system
Dr Heaton is a wonderful Doctor. She is kind, understanding and supportive. She is a credit
to the surgery.
I would like a regular timetable for each doctor, so that you know when you can contact the
doctor you prefer.
All good, Thank you to everyone at Markfield Medical Centre
Flu jabs and Diabetic clinic very good
I feel there should be a greater level of privacy at reception point
if the doctors worked full time we would not have to wait so long to see the doctor of choice
- rather than non experienced practitioner
First class care
I don’t think the receptionists or doctors could improve - always give 100%
Exceptional care by all at surgery.
It would be nice to be told before hand, when next blood test are due.
Most of the GP's are part time, so I would like full time GP's so that there is more continuity
between GP and Patient.
I have rang at 8am to get an appointment for an urgent condition and have been on phone
for 30 mins, then to be told no appts left and to ring at 8.00am. Very frustrating.
Due to my age I can foresee that I may have difficulty getting to the surgery, never the less if
necessary I still have to get a taxi.
I would like to have some privacy when talking to the receptionist as everyone can hear you
talking to them. When I've been to the surgery and walked into the waiting area and
spoken to one of the receptionists, you see everyone looking around at you, so it would be
nice if you had a shield around you so you can have your privacy with the receptionist.
I find the service and support I receive here absolutely outstanding.
Well done all.
Generally a very good surgery with excellent staff
Keep doing the good work you are doing, with a smile
friendly staff
You have always provided my family and myself with excellent care, and always professional.
I am pleased with the consistant high standards at MMC. The staff are polite and extremely
helpful.
I have always where possible been treated by Dr Heaton. i have found her to be kind and no
rush to get you out the room, she is attentive and very professional.
Every medical centre should have a Dr Heaton.
Always impressed with how helpful the reception staff are.
The Gps are nurses are good too.
Recommend a new practice manager. Someone who doesn't try to lie to you and make you
feel that you are not worthy to make a complaint.
