Licensure Program - Virginia Tech History & Social Science Content Preparation Checklist for Non-VT students NAME_____________________________________ DATE__________ MAJOR_______________________________________________ MINOR(S )___________________________________________ 1) For admittance into the graduate licensure program in history and social science education you must hold an undergraduate degree in a social science (e.g. history, political science, economics, geography, philosophy, IDST, etc) 2) You must also complete specific coursework in History (18 hours minimum), Political Science (18 hours minimum), Geography (9 hours minimum) and Economics (6 hours minimum). Complete the checklist of required courses below. 3) Courses in Geog and Political Science may be double counted.
