The first visit of the 1st year Comenius Travelling Exhibition, for a group
of three students and two professors of our Institute (I.I.E.K. “MOKUME”
of THESSALONIKI), took place in Saint-Amand Montrod, France, from
18th to 22nd of January 2009.
The delegation of our Institute had the possibility to be present at the
opening of the exhibition on 19th of January.
Also, our delegation had the possibility to visit the partner school
“Lycee Professionel Jean Guehenno” in Saint-Amand Montrod, on 19th
and 20th of January 2009, having an interesting dialogue, with students
and professors, about the program of studies in jewellery and an
exchanging of experiences.

The second mineral exploration for our Institute (I.I.E.K. “MOKUME” of
THESSALONIKI) took place on one open air excavation area of volcanic
stone, near the town of Volvic, in the region of Clermont-Ferrand, France.
Our students had the opportunity to pick pieces of volcanic stone in
order to use them for the creation of jewels for the 2 nd year Comenius
Travelling Exhibition in 2009-2010.
When our delegation (three students and two professors, with two
professors of the “Lycee Professionel Jean Guehenno” of Saint-Amand
Montrond, who were our guides) saw at the open air excavation area how
the volcanic stone is excavated, visited an artistic school of elaboration
of volcanic stone in the town of Volvic.
The mineral exploration took part on 21st of January 2009.
