Processing Academics & VIP Guests: Please make your way to the Card Room in the Assembly Rooms at least 30 minutes
before the start of the ceremony, tea & coffee will be available. VIP guests will be escorted from the Octagon Room to their
seats in the Ball Room 10 minutes before the ceremony starts. Alternatively VIP guests can make their own way to the Ballroom
(entry by ticket only) at least 20 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony, you will be shown to your VIP seat by an Usher.
Academic Gowning and Dress Code: If you have hired a gown it will be delivered directly to the Card Room in the Assembly
Rooms for collection. Please return the gown to the Card Room after the ceremony has finished. Before you line up please
check the stage plans and procession lists on the display boards in the Octagon room so you know where you will be sitting on
the stage. When wearing academic dress, you should wear a suit, dark socks, dark shoes, a shirt and a tie, or wear a
dress, a suit, trousers or skirt with a long sleeved blouse/jacket and dark shoes.
Staff Guests: Please make your way to the Ballroom (entry is by ticket only) at least 30 minutes before the ceremony starts. An
Usher will show you to your reserved staff seat.
Transport/Car Parking:
Charlotte Street car park is one of the nearest to the Assembly Rooms in Bath. Or you may wish to park at the University of Bath
campus and use the coach transport provided. Coaches will depart promptly one hour before the start of a ceremony from
the East car park lay-by (opposite The Edge), stopping outside the Assembly Rooms. Then coaches will leave from
outside the Assembly Rooms returning to the University of Bath campus dropping off point back in the East car park lay-by.
