Consequently, the goal of the External Linkages Directorate is to connect the Institute to institutions, organizations and communities at various levels as a means of enriching the Institute’s curricula, promoting research and generating funds. This determination requires a pragmatic and result-oriented structure than hitherto available in the Institute which will facilitate linkages and partnerships, to enable the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies harness the rewards and benefits of developing academic and industrial linkages and networks with other educational institutions, funding bodies and other private and public sector organizations both within and outside Nigeria. In broader terms, the essence, based on critical review, is to strategically expand the Institute’s global and communities’ development programmes in order to enhance their impact and relevance. The increasing success of democratic governance and the confidence that the international community continues to demonstrate in Nigeria have combined to reinforce the belief that international linkages have a crucial role to play in the sustenance of Higher education.
