His first assignment in Indonesia was in 1993, and since then has worked on some 17 relevant assignments in Indonesia, and is therefore fully familiar with the AMDAL process in Indonesia, along with other Indonesia government environmental regulations and procedures. He is currently working on one of the ADB funded Earthquake and Tsunami Emergency Support Project (ETESP) packages as the Environment Specialist and also worked on the Inter Island Transport Project (ADB SSTA 4429-INO) in the country, he has prepared Initial Environmental Examinations (IEE) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA’s) in accordance with applicable Indonesian standards, and in line with ADB requirements. In total, has prepared about 20 rapid environmental assessments, IEEs and EIAs to ADB standards, for projects up to several ten million dollars in value.
