• My current position has me working with and managing EI tech's with no 5E experience to degrow
and remove Line and Trunk Units from live switches. Jobs have ranged from 200 to 700 hours with as
many as 7 techs. I have completed over 20 projects to date and have assisted the NOC in clearing
existing switch problems before starting my work.
• My 5ESS training started in 1986 and I was very involved with engineering/ planning/ Project
Management and technical Support in my later years with Verizon and Fairpoint

• I worked this job for 30 + years installing 1A, #4ESS, #5ESS and a 4 year Nortel DMS-100/
Succession Softswitch e/w SIP Lines.
• I have installed/ upgraded and maintained #5ESS since 1986 and have been directly involved in
every software update from 5E2.2 to the current 5E16.2 level. I was considered a SME in 5E by my
peers, management and tech support.
• I was the only tech in the northern states to hold a test rating in both Switch and Toll.
