«GreetingLine» Post-Lesson Reflection Lesson study should be a crucial component in every teacher preparation program. There is so much development as a professional. In lesson study you are able to simultaneously tap into numerous resources, strategies, management skills, and people who truly understand you. This experience has opened so many doors for me. In the past, I only viewed as lesson study as a tool that only could be used in Language Arts. Now, I realize that it can be used across the board. This lesson helped me execute a near perfect lesson. I dare say perfect because we were able to meet the objective of having our students work in cooperative groups. Our students took learning in to their own hands with few problems. I was expecting the students to loose control of the situation. This lesson allowed me to give the students the responsibility to take control of their activity. The students were able to function in their assigned roles without interrupting their learning. The most important finding for me was that the students were able to process and retain the information. As a bonus, the higher functioning students were able to go on to extra steps, such as labeling the plants and writing about not only the parts of the plant, but also the needs of the plant. «GreetingLine» LESSON STUDY ASSIGNMENT Catalina Hernandez 1. 2. 3. 4.
