We practice sustainable agriculture on 60 rolling acres in Randolph County. We milk our 60 pure-bred dairy

We are a small suburban homestead located just outside the city limits of Mt. Airy on Route 52. We are a
Certified Naturally Grown Farm. We have a small grass fed flock of laying hens. We offer a small CSA
program with pick up points in Galax, VA, Mt. Airy, NC and Winston-Salem, NC. We have recently
expanded our growing area to include 5 acres in Davidson County, NC. We are looking at providing year

I am a part time farmer working on my family farm near Liberty. I sell delicious pork from hogs raised on
pasture. They are free to roam, root and play in the sunshine without added hormones or antibiotics. Also, I

In 1998 we moved back to renovate and renew this 300 acre family farm that has been in the family since
1833. We sell free range eggs from the farm. All of our chickens, geese, turkeys and guinnies run free
through our extensive fields and woods eating an all natural diet. Our motto is “happy chickens lay happy
eggs.” Recently we planted our first vineyard! In the summer we will have fresh produce when available.
Our big venture spring 2007 was growing shiitake and golden oyster mushrooms. This fall we are planting
another variety of shiitakis and blue oysters and are looking for a market for our product. Classes are offered
by request to learn from a graduate of Johnson and Wales the art of cooking mushrooms.

We are a small family farm consisting of 46 acres that has been in our family since 1858. We grow over 30
types of vegetables using organic methods (not certified). Many are heirlooms. Included are some fresh
