School census reports a population in excess of 65,000. Cicero is located 20 miles north of Syracuse in Central New York. Cicero-North Syracuse High School is a three-year high school requiring 22 credits for graduation. CNS has been on a block schedule since 1994. All core courses are a full year. Students remain with the same Counselor and House Principal throughout their high school careers to provide continuity. No students share a rank. All completed credit-bearing courses are counted in GPA and rank. GPA is unweighted; rank is weighted. Final examination, either local or regents, constitutes one-fifth of the final average. Honors/AP marks are weighted 1.05/1.10 for ranking. Highest unweighted GPA 99.27. Passing grade 65.
