The program of study outlined below leads to the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree with
an area of emphasis in Elementary Education from Nashville State Community College
(NSCC) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Arts and Sciences
(Interdisciplinary Studies) with Teacher Certification in Elementary Education
Grades K-8 from Tennessee State University (TSU).
This articulation agreement recognizes the following course work is needed to complete an

This articulation agreement applies only to the Bachelor of Science degree in Arts
and Sciences (Interdisciplinary Studies) with Teacher Certification Elementary
Education K-8.
A change major invalidates these courses/credits for transfer unless they are
approved within some other program-to-program articulation agreement for a
different major at Tennessee State University.
A minimum 2.00 Grade Point Average (GPA) is required for all transferable credits.
To be eligible for admission to this program, students must have at least a 2.75 GPA.
Other general education approved courses may be accepted by TSU for transfer
credit per the approved TSU and NSCC General Education charts found at
http://www.tbr.state.tn.us/student_information/gened/gened.htm.
