In a drizzly and humid morning, when I was reading a leather-bound mystery
novel, enjoying the climax coming, the phone beside me suddenly rang.” Hello, may I
speak to Mia? This is Ann” Someone on the other side of phone said. “Speaking.” I
said. ”Hey I’d like to ask you if you have free time now? I have invited Sandy already.
Maybe we can go to the brand new park to take a stroll? I’ve heard of that some
lovely animals, such as ducks and geese, have been moved into there recently!” “Oh,
that sounds great! I think I can go out with you now.” I said. ”Excellent! So I think I
can meet you guys at 13:00. See you then! ”
After the call, I took off my pajamas and put on a light yellow shirt with black
jeans, which was my favorite wearing, and then went out for the date. Imagining the
pleasant time I will have later, even thought there was a poor weather, my bad mood
was promptly tossed aside. Once I opened the door, the gold-colored flowers on both
sides of road popped into my sight, and the sky was no longer gray anymore. “It’s
such a wonderful time for playing. ’’ I thought to myself. Then I glanced at my watch,
surprised at what time it was, and broke into a trot towards the park.
When arriving at the park, I saw both of my friends standing with their backs to
me. To avoid splashing water from puddles, I walked to them slowly and carefully. At
this moment, I saw a little girl who owned a pair of beautiful sparkling-blue eyes
rushing towards Ann in exasperation and soon bumped into her. Astonished at this
occurrence, I just tapped Ann on her shoulder and said ”Who…… is she?” She
grinned me back with embarrassment. “She is my cousin, Lizzy.” Soon she got closer
to me and Sandy, said with deep worry “She is a restless kid, and she just kept
annoying me and said she wanted to go with us. I don’t want to tale care of her at all,
but I couldn’t refused her ask at last. So now I’m so afraid that she will make you
guys couldn’t have much fun.” After hearing what Ann had just said, Sandy nudged
me with her elbow and smiled, suggesting what we should say. Then I said, “Don’t
mind it. “No problem. I think we can take care of her with you as well. ”Sandy said,
with her big smile.
Next, we decided to see the cute geese and wandered in the park. On the way to
the lake where the geese lived, Ann found a middle-aged man selling ice cream. Due
to a hot weather then, she immediately determined to buy one. At the moment, Lizzy
snatch Ann’s jacket and cried, “I want to eat ice cream, too!” “No! you couldn’t eat
ice cream today! You have caught a cold recently, right? Don’t make your mother
more worried about your health! ”Ann burst out shouting. I guess she couldn’t stand
her young cousin anymore. I took a look at Sandy, but she just turn away with a
chuckle. “Sandy, it’s not a funny thing!” I urged her into solving Ann’s problem.
Then we went to convince Ann and Lizzy that Lizzy can drinking something
cold, such as smoothie instead of ice cream. Lizzy agreed with tears and smile. Ann
finally seemed to have a relief. At last, Ann and I bought chocolate ice cream. Sandy
and Lizzy bought smoothie. We ate our cold dessert beside the stander.
”Hey, why don’t we enjoy ice cream under those trees? So we can chat and eat at
the same time without worrying ice cream melting so quickly!” I suggested, taking a
look at the shiny and hot sky. “That sounds nice, let’s go” Sandy said, walking
towards the trees and sat down. We shared our dessert with each other. I came closed
to Lizzy secretly when Ann went to the toilet.
”Do you still want to eat ice cream?” I grinned at Lizzy, suggested she come to
my here to take a taste of ice cream. ”Really? But……Would Ann…?” ” If you can
listen to Ann and your mom’s words after you go home.” I smiled, ”I think you can
eat up all of this ice cream.”
Not until my words ended did Lizzy promised me that she would follow this, so I
presented my ice cream to her. Just after Lizzy finished my ice cream, Ann came back.
It seemed she hadn’t be aware of the deal between Lizzy and I!
Finally, we got to the last place we wanted to have fun, a garden with several
types of flowers, which Sandy suggested to go. “See, how beautiful and elegant they
are!” Sandy said loudly and pleasantly, picking up a rose.” Sandy said. ”Yeah, I’ve
never seen such a gorgeous garden such as this! It seems just like a yard of the rich!”
Ann praised the flowers with brightening eyes. ”I think so.” I echoed.
“Hey, look at those sunflowers! How fresh and fragrant they are!” Sandy kept
feeling amazed at rose.
“Oh!” Ann screamed out in the sudden. ”Where is Lizzy?” She cried out
hysterically.
Then we began to search for Lizzy. But even if we moved away the flowers to
search for her, we still didn’t have any ideas where Lizzy was. Suddenly, Sandy spoke
out loudly, ” Wait! Is that Lizzy?”, and pointed towards the front. Ann and I turned to
the direction Sandy pointed to, and saw Lizzy was led along by a flirtatious lady.
“Is that lady one of your relatives?” I asked Ann in haste.
“Nooooo! I totally don’t know who she is!” Ann said hastily and turned around
to asked for Sandy of suggestion.
So……what should we do……wait…where is Sandy?” I turned around, eager to
know what should I did, but Ann, Sandy, even if the strange lady and Lizzy
disappeared. I felt more and more weak, and lost my mind.
“Wake up, Mia! You have slept for a very long time!” a cheerful sound popped
into my brain. I opened my eyes and saw Sandy, standing in front of me with her
consistent smile.
“Are you okay? Do you need to go home to rest?” a worried sound passed from
back, is Ann’s voice.
“I feel better now, thank you” I said. ”Just a nightmare, right?”
