Young horse line classes - $30 per class, classes will be divided by sex if entries warrant. Handlers must wear appropriate attire (no jeans), all horses
must be braided.
Prizes for 1st, ribbons to 4th
1. Open Foal – open to foals of breeds recognized by the world breeding federation, judged on confirmation and movement. Indoor Arena. Foals
can go at liberty.
2. Yearling - open to yearlings of breeds recognized by the world breeding federation, judged on confirmation and movement. Horses shown in
hand.
3. Two Year Old - open to two year olds of breeds recognized by the world breeding federation, judged on confirmation and movement. Horses
shown in hand.
4. Yearling Sport Suitability – open to yearlings same as class 2 with suitability for sport disciplines. Horses shown in hand.
5. Two Year Old Sport Suitability – open to two year olds same as class 3 with suitability for sport disciplines. Horses shown in hand.
Young Horse Championship – no additional entry fee – top 2 placed horses from classes 1-3 are eligible.

CSHA Alberta Chapter Provincial Foal Championship-foals must be by CSHA approved stallions out of CSHA approved mares. Mares can be
inspected in the morning prior to the show if their paperwork is submitted by entry deadline.
$500 prize money 1st $200, 2nd $150, 3rd $100, 4th $50 ***Grand Prize to top scoring foal provincially
All foals judged in halter -Mares may accompany unweaned foals in the ring. Proper show turnout for mares is required.
Judging criteria: 50% movement, 30% conformation, 20% type
Young riding horse series - $35 per class - These classes will be judged on movement, attitude and way of going with suitability for the specific
discipline in mind. Horses to be shown in conservative tack and snaffle bridles only. No martingales. No boots.
Entries to be judged on impulsion, correctness of movement, conformation, type, quality, substance, soundness and suitability for future sport
performance classes.Scores will be assessed 40% conformation and 60% performance.
Prizes for 1st, ribbons to 4th High Score Three Year Old and High Score Four Year Old.
6. Three Year Old Hunter Suitability walk/trot: Entries to be judged on impulsion, correctness of movement, conformation,
type, quality, substance, soundness and suitability for future sport performance classes. Scores will be assessed 40%
confirmation and 60% performance. Class routine, horses will be shown as a group at walk and trot.
7. Three Year Old Jumper Suitability walk/trot: Entries to be judged on impulsion, correctness of movement, conformation,
type, quality, substance, soundness and suitability for future sport performance classes. Scores will be assessed 40%
conformation and 60% performance. Class routine. Horses will be shown as a group at walk, trot.
8. Three Year Old Dressage Suitability walk/trot: Entries to be judged on impulsion, correctness of movement, conformation,
type, quality, substance, soundness and suitability for future sport performance classes. Scores will be assessed 40%
conformation and 60% performance. Class routine. Horses will be shown as a group at walk, trot.

Every Participant in this event shall CAREFULLY read this notice before signing.
No person will be allowed to participate prior to signing this form as required.
"Inherent risks of equine activities" shall mean those dangers or conditions, which are an integral part of equine activities, including, but not limited to:
i)
the propensity of any equine to behave in ways that may result in injury, harm, or death to persons on or around them and/or damage to property in their
vicinity.
ii)
the unpredictability of an equine's reaction to such things as sounds, sudden movement and unfamiliar objects, persons, or other animals.
iii)
the equine's response to certain hazards such as surface and subsurface objects.
iv)
collisions with other equines, animals, people and objects.
v)
the potential of a participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to injury to the participant or others, such as failing to maintain control over
the equine or to act within his or her ability.
Neither the sanctioning organization(s), property owner(s), this equine event, the members of its organizing committee, officials, volunteers, staff, nor agents shall
in any way be liable for any accident, injury, damage, loss or for any other matter that may happen to exhibitors, competitors, owners, agents, or to anyone on the
grounds or to any animal or article brought to the grounds. It is to be understood and agreed that by participating in this equine event, all exhibitors, participants,
competitors, owners, agents, and representatives acknowledge that equestrian activities involve inherent dangerous risk and do hereby agree to save harmless and
keep indemnified the event, the sanctioning organization(s), property owner(s) and lessee(s), business operators, and singular, the owners, directors, officers,
members, employees, officials, agents, and volunteers thereof from and against any and all claims, actions, costs, expenses, and demands in respect to death,
injury, loss or damage to person or property and to any other claim, howsoever caused, arising or to arise in connection in any way with taking part in this event
and notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of the organizers, officials, directors, committee members,
volunteers, or any one connected with this event.
