Dear Reader
Hi Everyone,
Spring has finally come, and we can finally get out of the indoor arena. I have
been hitting the hills with everyone. Every spring, I am impressed by how well my
arena work flows when the horses are more fit and forward from working outside
the ring.
With show season rolling, at SFD, we are keeping our focus on our own
educations, which will trickle down to everyone else.
In March, I rode for Michael Klimke--the full story is below. Last weekend Eclipse and I rode with Gigi
Nutter (thank-you -thank-you-thank-you OVCTA and LVDA for bringing this gifted teacher back
again). This weekend, Cara and Laura are headed to Marshall, VA, to audit Conrad Shumacher at
Spreiser Sporthorses.
Then, in May 8-9, Cara and I will be demo riders for the Region 1 Adult Dressage Symposium, to be held
at Riveredge West, Cara riding Kiss me Kate, and me aboard Linda Butz's awesome mare, Secret. We

Just you wait, with all this education tucked into our heads, the lessons at SFD will be fresh and packed
full of good stuff. But then (she humbly types), aren't they always?
