ACU Math-Science and Cullen Research Grants: Chair’s and Dean’s Report Chairs and Deans are each to complete a form and independently send it to the Director of Research in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs by the standing date of January 22. This assessment is confidential and is extremely important to the deliberation of the Research Council. Since we often do not have a representative from each specialized area on the Research Council, we depend on the reviews of the Chair and Dean to help the Research Council assess the importance of the research area and the quality of the research methods proposed. Please be as candid as possible in assessing the research proposal and try to differentiate between applications from your department or college. The reports from the Chair and Dean assist the Research Council in discriminating among the quality of many competing proposals. 1.
