Thank you for considering using “Equine Artificial Breeding Services” facilities to breed your mare. For your
interest please find enclosed the 2012 price schedule, relevant information regarding EABS, along with the EABS semen order
form. If you have any queries at all please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Protocol for ordering Chilled Semen:


Collection days for Chilled Semen are: Monday through to Friday No collections Saturday or Sunday
Order chilled semen using the attached EABS semen order form.
OVERNIGHT DELIVERY:
Fax NO later than 9.30am on day of collection
To ensure you don’t miss out on semen, a telephone call the day prior to the required semen collection would be appreciated.
Protocol for ordering Frozen Semen:




EABS must receive authorization from stallion owner before frozen semen can be released.
EABS does require you to FAX your details (as set out below) at least 10 days prior to the mare being bred to allow
for adequate transportation time of the frozen semen straws.
Frozen semen straws and thawing instructions will be released and transported in dry shipper tanks directly to your
veterinarian.
Your veterinarian will further transfer the straws into their own storage tanks, after which the dry shipper must be
returned to EABS as soon as possible (please refer to ‘Return of semen shipment containers’ below).
IMPORTANT (applies to Frozen Semen orders only)
Please provide the following information when you order the semen:
 Your (mare owner) name, address and contact telephone numbers.
 Stallions name
 Mares name
 The exact delivery address including, receiving persons name, telephone number and postcode.
 Your credit card details, Visa, MasterCard, Bankcard or American Express card number, the full name that
appears on the card and the expiry date. OTHERWISE SEMEN WILL NOT BE SHIPPED
Return of semen shipment containers
It is the mare owners responsibility to ensure that the person artificially inseminating their mare returns the containers to EABS as
soon as possible or further hirer charges will be incurred.


The chilled semen container must be labeled with EABS address on the outside of the container and can mailed back
to EABS with Australia Post.
Dry Shippers used for transporting frozen semen must be returned to EABS with TNT Transport. We will provide a
consignment note in the dry shipper for the return.

Transported Frozen Semen Fee
Includes: Filling of the dry shipper with liquid nitrogen, straw transfer, road transport to the required destination and return to
EABS and tank hire.

Includes: Teasing, follicle testing, ultrasonography, AI, 1st pregnancy scan, some drugs (any additional drugs required will be

Mare owners delivering their mares personally are asked to deliver their mare between the above hours. Public Horse Transport
delivery can be any time as long as EABS is notified of its arrival.
No Mares will be bred after the 1st of February 2013 due to other commitments

EABS resident mares: The first mare AI fee is payable when the mare arrives at the center (see above for charges), agistment
accounts will be forwarded at the end of each month. All monies outstanding must be paid for prior to the mare leaving the centre.
Non resident mares: Full payment must be made prior to dispatch of semen.
