Through tertiary education, I hope I could develop my power of critical thinking
as well as explore the unbounded territory of knowledge of life. I have a firm belief
that tertiary education would be the unique experience for me to further develop my
hidden talents and more importantly, to develop a different perception towards future
from my learning.
I have long been interested in the business profession, so that I decide to devote
myself in this field. I recognize this field as a “splendid life” which vitally involves

In my secondary education, I have been the monitress from Form 1 to Form 3,
the Chairperson of the Health Education Team in Form 5 and the Welfare Secretary of
the Student Association in the same year. The invaluable experiences have not only
promoted my leadership skill and the ability to co-operate with people, but also the
ability to organize activities efficiently and to present ideas logically. I have also
been the organizer of the English Reading Competition in school and that helps to
boost my confidence and the power of decisiveness. In Form 6, I came first in
Computer Applications and received an award for this. I sincerely hope that such

Apart from academic studying, I have also participated in other activities such as
windsurfing and rowing. I have got the basic certificate of windsurfing and the bronze

Hong Kong is suffering from economic downturn which has caused high
unemployment rate recently. However, I believe that the situation is temporary only.
Hong Kong will have another economic boom in the nearest decade. Being a new
generation of Hong Kong, I have no hesitation to study for the best of Hong Kong and
help her pass the present gloom.
With the spectacular pace of technological development one must keep abreast of the
latest knowledge and be responsive to the ever-changing needs of society. I am
convinced that the challenging BBA course can help me to achieve this goal.

I would like to apply for the Business field. Business is an important section in

commercial activities going on, the demand for employees of this sector is large, so

‘A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.’
To start a wonderful journey of university, my first step is to opt for the Bachelor of
Social Science, not only because I firmly eager for the category of education, but also
because I possess some specific aptitude and personalities.
I am an active, talkative and outgoing person. As I believe that adequate exercises and
comprehensive development of personal skills are keys to unlocking the door of
success, I expose myself to a variety of learning sources. Thus I took part in the
Inter-school Debate Competition, fostering my independent analytical power and

Oi Hospital Joint School Graduation Ceremony and the intra-school Orientation Day,

During my childhood years I was often criticized for being too much of an optimist.
My family and friends would have whole conservations about my goals and ideas.
They would say that I was too naïve or too immature to operate in this world.

Of all the faculties, I would like to apply for the BA (Hons) in Accountancy as
my preference. The reasons that I choose it are not only developing my power of

A human life is not so long. It just lasts 60 or 70 years. Some may be shorter; some
may be longer. In these few years, how many meaningful things can you do? So I am
willing to be a nurse to help some people who need to get help from the others. It is
really a meaningful thing. If you see a patient leave the hospital healthily nothing can
describe the feeling of contentment.
Besides being a nurse, being a teacher is also a meaningful job. This is because young
people are our future. They have to study in school before they serve society. So the

As modern technology is developing rapidly, people all over the world are no longer
bound by geographical limitation. Inevitably, this would only speed up the process of
globalisation. In the meantime, I recognise there is an urgent need for me to equip
myself with expertise in languages, communication skills and interpersonal skills, all
of which are so indispensable in nowadays society. Tertiary education, I believe, will
undoubtedly help me to acquire these.
Hong Kong is a reputed international city where numerous multi-national
corporations have set up their headquarters, thus, there is an increasing demand for
the multi-lingual professionals with a strong foundation of management. These jobs
are so attractive and challenging. It is my aspiration to devote in it once I have opted
