She has been working at HKUST since 1993, and has taught nearly all of the English courses offered to HKUST students by the Center for Language Education, as well as being involved in various other CLE initiatives such as MBA classes in Shenzhen, IELTS examination advising and the development of short courses on pronunciation. Her academic interests focus on discourse analysis, genre, English for Specific Purposes and curriculum development. Sarah coordinates the English courses for undergraduates in the School of Engineering, and has been working with a team to develop new specialized courses for engineering students.
