WTVO/WQRF is looking for a bilingual intern to help with the English and
Spanish newscast called 'Eyewitness News en Español'. The 30 minutes
show airs on MyNetwork.TV Monday to Friday.
Here are the requirements:
-Be a college student
-Fluent in English and Spanish
-Knowledge of Spanish grammar (punctuation and verb tense)
-Able to work 2-3 days a week (times can vary)
-Knowledge of social media platforms like Facebook/Twitter/Hootsuite
The purpose of this unpaid internship is to provide the student practical
training in the broadcasting industry during the fall semester (AugustDecember). The perfect candidate would be interested in a career in
broadcast or print journalism, but students in all majors are encouraged to
apply.
Main responsibilities will be translating and looking for content to be used
on the Spanish newscast. In addition, the student will help promote the
popularity of the newscast on social media.
