Service Details:
Samples are placed in a queue on receipt with the completed form. Reports will be sent in
electronic format (PDF).
2D Gel electrophoresis sample preparation guide lines:

Components to be avoided include ionic detergents (e.g., SDS), Salts, nucleic acids,
lipids and polysaccharides.

Samples can contain reducing agents (e.g., DTT, TBP), IPG buffers (eg. ampholytes,
pharmalytes) and detergents such as NP40 and Triton X-100.

Total salt concentration in the sample should not exceed 10 mM.

Final concentration of SDS should be 0.25% or lower and a neutral or zwitterionic
detergent should be present in at least an 8-fold excess over the SDS (e.g. CHAPS, Triton
X-100).

A sample with low protein concentration and a high salt concentration, could be
desalted using desalting columns (for large sample volumes) then concentrated by
lyophilization, or precipitated with TCA and ice-cold acetone and resolubilized with
rehydration solution.

2D clean up kit is available in market. Sample must be dissolved in appropriate
rehydration buffer. For more details please contact us.

The required protein concentration is at least 5μg/μL and at least 500 μg of each sample
is needed for a single preparative run. (Note: Protein load varies depending on the pH range
of immobilized pH gradient (IPG) strips).

Clinical samples must be pre-processed (as mentioned above) before sample submission.

a published protocol that they would like us to follow, please send us a copy of the protocol and
a PDF of the published manuscript if available.
Recommendations and/or modifications to the services described herein can be provided by
the facility.
Deliverables and Payment terms:
a)
Results obtained will be shared with the client. Deliverables (e.g. Analyzed data and gel
pictures) will be provided to the client upon request. If not requested during the service,
deliverables will be provided at the conclusion of the service.
b)
Multiple quotations may be given during the course of the service (dependent on
requirements of client); however a single invoice will be raised for the complete service for
payment by the client.
