Units NENG02, NENG03 and NENL03
This optional checklist is to help exams officers and teachers with the submission of their
controlled assessment samples.

You must send separate samples of controlled work for each unit (as appropriate) to the same moderator.
Please refer to the document Instructions for submitting coursework/ controlled assessment marks and samples
available from aqa.org.uk/coursework for further guidance.
Check
The samples of written work for English (NENG03) and English Language (NENL03) as appropriate are
separate and clearly labelled.
For English / English Language, a separate sample of candidate records for Speaking and Listening
(NENG02) is included.
Do not include any work where the result is being ‘carried forward’ from a previous attempt.
The folders for each unit are in rank order with the highest marked candidate on the top.
For each folder, there is a signed candidate record form (with the marks awarded on top and the teacher’s
signature on the reverse and the candidates notes are attached (if applicable).
Work is secured using treasury tags (not paperclips) and there are no plastic wallets.
A signed centre declaration sheet (CDS) is included.
Marks on the candidate record forms match the marks submitted online (through e-AQA or by EDI).
The work in the sample has been annotated.
