FOREWORD The CMS-TOOLS product can be easily customized, partly from the user interface, partly editing some configuration files. Goal of this document is to explain all the configuration files of the CMS-TOOLS product with the exception of the machine configuration files that are explained in another manual. Some configuration examples will complete this documentation. CMS-TOOLS General configuration files 4 2. LIST OF GENERAL CONFIGURATION FILES All these files must stay in the CmsWinTools root directory. CMSWIN.INI general configuration data CMS-WIN.MNU CMS-WIN.TXT TOOLBAR.CFG menu configuration data messages toolbar configuration data CMS-WIN.COL CMS-COL.FAC VIDEO.CO3 current color configuration data original color configuration data by Cms geometrical fonts configuration data USER.CUR current project and machine data CMS-TEXW.CFG pocketing user interface, default and constraints values configuration DIGIT.CON DIGIT.DAT CMS-INTE.CFG CMS-INTE.DAT general configuration data for digitizing geometrical configuration data for digitizing interactive digitizing settings user interface, default and constraints values configuration interactive digitizing settings configuration NCI-CSF.CFG NCL-NAS.CFG PANNELLO.DAT NCI (MasterCam) import configuration data APT/NCL (Catia, Pro/E) import configuration data R0X (Alma) import configuration data WCON-CIC.CFG machine cycle settings user interface, default and constraints values configuration machine command settings user interface, default and constraints values configuration digitizing settings user interface, default and constraints values configuration machine general settings user interface, default and constraints values configuration machine geometrical settings user interface, default and constraints values configuration language configuration data machine origins settings user interface, default and constraints values configuration machine heads settings user interface, default and constraints values configuration machine multiple-heads settings user interface, default and constraints values configuration WCON-COM.CFG WCON-DIG.CFG WCON-GEN.CFG WCON-GEO.CFG WCON-LIN.CFG WCON-ORI.CFG WCON-TES.CFG WCON-TMU.CFG CMSWTOOL.GLC BINARY.COD start-up GLC configuration data enabling codes for binary GLC programs CMS-TOOLS General configuration files 5 3. CMSWIN.INI The structure of this file is like the one of Microsoft INI files : [section_name1] key1_1=value1_1 key1_2=value1_2 ... [section_name2] key2_1=value2_1 key2_2=value2_2 ... where section_nameN and keyI_L are strings identifing sections and keys, while valueI_L are character strings or numerical values, depending on the key. In the following descriptions, the keys with undescored characters are to set by hand, the other ones are used by the program itself to remember the previous state. 3.1 Section [Generali] UndoRedoStep=number where number is the maximum number of undo steps allowed (default 10). UndoRedoDimens=value where value is the maximum dimension of the project, in Bytes, to activate Undo/Redo (default 250000). Debug=flag where flag is one of these values : 0 = debug off (default), 1 = debug on; for the debug modality (prints some more informations on the command line). DelAllProj=flag where flag is one of these values : 0 = delete all the files with the name ot the project and extensions LAX, DP?, DL?, LS?, VAR, ENT, HED, ENS, WMF, WMI (default), 1 = delete all the files with the name ot the project and extensions like previous option, plus CNC, CTC, ATT; for the command FileDelete. MostraToolBar=flag MostraStatusBar=flag GrandezzaToolBar=flag StandardToolBar=flag AllDialogPosition=flag SalvaDesktop=flag are directly set by the WindowCustomize dialog. PosWindow=values is directly set by the program with the origin and dimensions (in pixels) of the main window. CMS-TOOLS General configuration files 6 3.2 Section [ConfColori] NumConfColori=15 Color1=6385 CL1 Color2=6386 CL2 Color3=6387 CL3 Color4=6388 CL4 Color5=6389 CL5 Color6=6390 CL6 Color7=6391 CL7 Color8=6392 CL8 Color9=6393 CL9 Color10=6394 C10 Color11=6445 BKU Color12=6446 PRI Color13=6447 DFN Color14=6448 AUX Color15=6449 SER are used by the dialog WindowColors and must be like here. 3.3 Section [Font] Height=12 Weight=400 Italic=0 Underline=0 PitchAndFamily=1 FaceName=Courier are used to set the current font on the internal editor, the values here reported are the defaults. 3.4 Section [CmsTras] RPP_TYPE=flag where flag is one of these values : 0 = import NC code in a project, using current machine with tools setup, 1 = transform NC code in a new NC code (default), 2 = transform NC code in a new NC code, keeping mirror, cycles and so on; for the Reverse Post Processor. RPP_EGT=val where val is one of these values : 0.1 ( 0.004 if inches) to use the medium point algorithm, 10000 to skip this algorithm (default). for the Reverse Post Processor. RPP_CTV= flag min max perc var_max where flag is used to activate the feed control (0=no(default), 1=yes,); min is the minimum feed; max is the maximum speed; perc is the minimum percentual variation to emit the change in feed; var_max is the maximum absolute variation from the previous line. for the Reverse Post Processor. CMS-TOOLS General configuration files 7 WMI=flag where flag is one of these values : 0 = do not create WMI files when generate WMF files, 1 = create WMI files; for the export and save project. LAYER_HOLES=layer_key where layer_key is a string that must be inside the name of the layers with the holes; for the DXF import. 3.5 Section [Tav Creator Settings] FreeSelection=flag where flag is one of these values : 0 = load the table of the current machine, 1 = load the table the user select by an apposite dialog; for the Machine Table Configuration dialog. 3.6 Section [PasswordDlg] Password=string where string is the password to use (default cms); for the Upgrade of Tools database. 3.7 Section [CAM Settings] ProcessDataType=number PieceProcessData=flag AllParts=flag XDimProcessDataDialog=value YDimProcessDataDialog=value are directly set and used by the Nc GenerateProcess Data dialog. CTableSortingEnable= flag is directly set and used by the Nc GenerateManage Attribute Table dialog. PrintDraw=flag PrintNc= flag PrintProcessData= flag PrintSetup= flag PrintTime= flag are directly set and used by the Nc GeneratePrint All dialog. SimulationType=value is directly set and used by the Nc GenerateSimulation dialog. ProfLegenda= flag ProfFill= flag ProfMultDist=value ProfMultInvert=flag ProfMultDirez= flag are directly set and used by the Nc GenerateProfiling dialog.
