• Admission and total care of patient.
• Assessment and immediate nursing care of CVA patients, unconscious patients,
respiratory diseases and gastric diseases.
• Monitoring vital signs and report any deviation from normal to the concerned team leader.
•Evaluation and recording of ECG, Glasgow Coma Scale etc. to evaluate the condition of the
patient.
• Cardiac monitoring and assessment of Central Venous Pressure (CVP), Arterial Blood
Pressure (ABP), Non-Invasive Blood Pressure (NIBP) and identification of cardiac
emergencies to provide nursing care according to priority.
• Specimen collection and send to the laboratory for the test, record the results accurately.
• Adhere to the hospital policies to prevent infection and to ensure standard healthcare to
the patients.

• Drugs preparation specifically narcotics, administration, IV cannulation, IV fluids and
insertion of invasive monitoring as required.

discomfort, infections and complications; and optimize patient outcomes.
• Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained in ward at all times and that non-stock
requisition orders are dealt with appropriately.
• Carry out all the doctors’ order and directions.
• Act as a patient advocate and provide education to patients and their families.
• Well versed in assisting in emergency nursing procedures in order to control patient’s
physical condition.
• Assist procedures like CPR, lumbar puncture, ICDS and all lifesaving procedures.
• Prepare the patient for various investigations like X-RAY, ECG, Ultrasound, MRI etc.
• Treat wounds and assist in setting up life support equipment.
• Collection of samples, evaluate and record the results.
• Take record and constantly observe patients’ vitals.
• Order diagnostic tests and ensure that all life support equipment is in proper working
order.
