JUNIOR CLEARANCE FOR GRADUATION 2013-2014
To assure you are on track to graduate, you must finalize your declaration of majors and minors, and
meet with your faculty advisors before you register for your senior year courses.
This process—Junior Clearance—begins now.
If you are graduating in the 2013-2014 academic year, you must complete
the Junior Clearance process by March 29th
FEBRUARY 25th through March 29th
MONDAY TO FRIDAY - 3PM TO 5PM
GARLAND HALL 143 (CONFERENCE ROOM)
Failure to complete Junior Clearance by March 29th
will prevent registration with the Junior class on April 8th .
If you are graduating AFTER May 2014, you must speak to an academic advisor
in the KSAS Advising Office for separate directions.
TO COMPLETE YOUR JUNIOR CLEARANCE, FOLLOW THESE STEPS.
You will be eligible for a raffle if you complete these steps by March 15th.
1.
CONFIRM YOUR NAME. Check your ISIS records to confirm your name is exactly as you want it to appear on
your diploma. If not, submit any changes to the Registrar’s Office. Changes will require official
documentation of your legal name. NOTE: Most students use their full legal name.
2. CONFIRM ALL MAJORS AND MINORS ARE DECLARED BEFORE MEETING WITH FACULTY ADVISOR(S). Log into ISIS and go
to Registration  “Program of Study” to confirm you have officially declared your majors and minors.
If any major/minor is undeclared, you must complete a declaration form. Forms are available in Academic
Advising or the Registrar’s office. Submit the completed and signed forms to the Registrar’s Office. Allow
three business days for processing.
If you have a major or minor in Engineering, including the Entrepreneurship and Management minor: These
majors/minors must be properly declared in ISIS. To declare the Entrepreneurship and Management minor
you are required to have a 10-15 minute meeting with Kristen Kelley, Sr. Academic Program Coordinator,
located in Whitehead Hall 104.

Using Degree Audit in ISIS
Instructions for Junior Clearance Using a
Paper Checklist




 Log in to ISIS and under your "Registration" tab
find the link to "Degree Audit."
The Majors and Minors below require a paper checklist
(all others must use the online degree audit system)

 Create an audit.
 Review your audit. Is everything correct? 
 Make appointments early with your faculty
advisors for each major and minor with the
following exceptions:
 Political Science majors
meet with Ms. Blomme

International Studies majors
meet with Ms. Galan
 When meeting with your faculty advisor for
each major and minor, your advisor needs to log
into the degree audit program, not you. During
this meeting, make sure your advisor “shares”
the audit such that you can see it in
Communicator when you log in later. This is
how your advisor is “signing” your audit. This is
REQUIRED.
