Day Rate = $350
Explanation: The “day rate” is what a videographer charges for the shooting day; the actual act of going out and gathering
footage. The cost of wear and tear, general risk, and camera equipment maintenance are all factored in. The full day rate is
applied to any shooting day that consists of work that takes 4+ hours to complete. The shooting day includes the time it takes
to travel between locations.
½ Day Rate = $175
Explanation: The “1/2 day rate” applies to any shooting day up to 4hrs in length. It is the minimum cost for gathering any type
of footage.
Things to consider: I can effectively shoot a maximum of 4 properties in one 8-hour period, assuming they are relatively close
to one another. Therefore shooting multiple properties in one day can be more cost effective. Consider planning ahead to
shoot more than one property or splitting the day rate with other brokers to maximize the value of your dollar.
Post-Production $40.00/hr
Explanation: These costs cover time, software, storage, and equipment. Creating professional quality video/photo products
takes a specialized skill-set, high-end computer equipment, expensive software, and patience. HD Video files are extremely
large and taxing on a computer’s storage and speed. Uploading large files, cutting clips, editing, rendering, coloring, enhancing,
and delivering high quality digital products can add up to a considerable amount of time spent sitting in front of a computer.
Complex projects take more time to produce and edit, so naturally they will cost more.
Travel = $0.53/mile
Explanation: Travel is only applied to jobs that take me over an hour from Gold Beach, Oregon. Even then I only charge one way.
Given that I live in a remote location I am willing to swallow half of the travel cost. I choose to live in a remote location - that’s
not your fault.

Full day rate ($350) + 10hrs of post-production ($400) = $750
