Coaching and coaches form a critical part of the squash landscape in New Zealand. Coaches from across the country donate their time and knowledge to allow athletes not only to improve their game but to also to enjoy the game to its potential. The Squash New Zealand National Coaching Awards, held annually, recognise the hard work and endeavour that coaches put in on a regular basis.
A winner will be selected by a judging panel and will be presented with a trophy at an awards ceremony on Friday
27 November in Auckland.
There are three award categories, which are aligned to the National Coach Development Framework…
1.
New Coach of the Year: a coach that has been coaching for two (2) years or less at any level.
2.
Club and School Coach of the Year: a coach that is working with junior or senior athletes in a club or school setting. This could include the coaching of individuals, junior programs, beginner coaching, schools coaching and graded teams
3.
Performance Coach of the Year: a Coach who is working with athletes at a District Representative Level or above/and or working with a District Performance Squad.

Nominations

Nominations are for the year from 1 October 2014 – 30 September 2015

All nominations must be completed on the form below (please attach additional paper if required)

Nominations must be returned to admin@squashnz.co.nz before 5pm on Friday 16 October
As a Nominator, you confirm that:
 you live in New Zealand
 you believe that the coach that you nominate will be happy for Squash NZ to contact him/her using the information you provide as part of the nomination
 all information you provide as part of any nomination is true, accurate and complete and is not in any way offensive, malicious, objectionable or defamatory and does not infringe any rights of any person
 you can nominate more than one coach, but you cannot nominate the same person more than once
Nominees for the National Coaching Awards will be individuals who:
 live in New Zealand
 are not an employee (or an immediate family member of an employee) of Squash NZ
 have contributed to the sport of squash in New Zealand in a coaching capacity for an affiliated Club or District

General Terms and Conditions

The winner will be selected by a Judging Panel determined by the Squash NZ Executive Council who will have absolute discretion in selecting finalists and a winner. The decision of the judging panels is final. No correspondence will be entered into

Squash NZ will pay for domestic travel costs and accommodation costs (if necessary) for the winner to attend the presentation of the award

Squash NZ will only use your personal information for the purpose of the awards and otherwise in accordance with these Terms and Conditions

Pursuant to the provisions of the Privacy Act 1993, all personal information of nominators and nominees will be stored by Squash NZ at their national office. Any request to access, update or correct any personal information held by Squash NZ should be directed to Squash NZ

Squash NZ reserves the right to refuse to grant any award or prize where it considers, in its sole discretion that a nominee or nominator has breached these Terms and Conditions, has acted fraudulently or may otherwise bring Squash NZ, this Award or the sport of squash, into disrepute

Squash NZ reserves the right to amend, vary, extend or discontinue these Terms and Conditions and/or the award at any stage, for any reason

Squash NZ will not be responsible for any late, lost or misdirected entries or for any inability to enter, complete, continue or conclude the nomination process for any reason, including (without limitation) any equipment or technical malfunction, Acts of God or otherwise

Squash NZ will not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury of any kind whatsoever which is suffered or sustained (directly or indirectly) by any winner in connection with any prize or award, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law
