Please let us know how we may serve you. (See church and leadership contact information on the back page.) ENTER HIS GATES WITH PRAISE: As you come into the sanctuary, you are encouraged to enter in an attitude of worship. Please help us all to focus on the Lord by joining in songs of praise and worship and waiting to connect with people in fellowship following worship. CHILDREN ARE WELCOME in worship with their family. We believe that God has called us to strengthen families which are often separated and torn apart in society. One way for families to experience unity is by worshiping together. We want to help parents fulfill the responsibility God has given them for helping their children know and love Jesus (Ephesians 6:4). In addition, we offer opportunities that are specifically aimed at helping children and youth cherish Christ as Lord and trust and follow Jesus in daily life. IF YOU NEED to take your child out of the Sanctuary, we offer a video monitor in the Fellowship Hall and in the Nursery for your convenience. We also have a team of loving volunteers who are willing to help care for little ones (age 3 and under) if needed. TODAY, DECEMBER 27 Fellowship with refreshments FRIDAY, JANUARY 1 Happy New Year! Following worship All Day WHAT HAS GOD DONE FOR YOU? Today during worship, we are sharing brief testimonies of God’s grace and faithfulness. Please be praying about what God might have you share for His glory and for the good of others. Also, please pray for others that God would give them boldness to speak for the glory of God. ORDINATION, INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING: During worship on January 3, 2016, we plan to ordain, install and commission newly elected elders, deacons and trustees. CONGREGATIONAL MEETING: The congregation is called to meet Sunday, January 10, 2016 following worship. This meeting is for the purpose of reviewing the compensation of the pastor, reviewing the 2016 Budget approved by the elders, and annual corporation business. POINSETTIAS: Thank you to all who donated live poinsettias to decorate our place of worship. You may take your poinsettia(s) with you following worship today. With cold temperatures, it is important to have your car warmed up to keep the plant(s) from freezing. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: This year the people of Berlin Church and Bright Beginnings Christian Preschool collected 82 boxes to be sent to needy children throughout the world. Thank you for your generosity and love, and please be praying for the children who are receiving these boxes, that they will know Jesus and His love. CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: We are planning a class to begin in January for those who are interested in church membership. We recognize that the church is a family, and so these classes provide an opportunity for you to get to know the family and for the family to get to know you. Please note your interest on the Response Form. FINANCIAL PEACE? Many people at this time of year spend more than their budget allows and find themselves starting a new year with anxious thoughts and fear and financial burdens rather than peace. We offer a course by Dave Ramsey called Financial Peace University, and are in the process of scheduling classes for 2016, and would like to make this class available to all who are interested. If you would like more information please check the appropriate box on the Response Form. A PLACE FOR YOU: We believe that the life of the church takes place in relationship with others. So we offer “life groups” that meet throughout the week (see list on back). You are encouraged to visit one of these groups. As a new year begins, it is a great time to seek out fellowship with others. BIBLE READING PLAN: If you would like to read through the Bible in 2016, there are a number of plans to help you do that. One resource is BibleGateway.com, which offers a variety of reading plans.
