SUMMARY
Ms. Read is a certified coach professional and organizational consultant who works with leaders and
teams to develop emotional agility and leadership skills. Ms. Read supports leaders in their personal
development and growth with a focus on creating an understanding of themselves, and how their
own emotions, thoughts, perceptions impact the working environment. She has coached and
mentored more than 300 people in international and U.S. agencies, foreign and humanitarian
assistance and in the private professional sector. Her work includes fostering employee engagement,
satisfaction, focused performance, retention and decreased occupational stress. She is expert in
organizational and team values identification, using these to develop values-based vision, mission,
goals, and action steps. Ms. Read has extensive experience with the U.S. Agency for International
Development, the U.S. State Department and the World Bank. Her coach training covers executive
and leadership development, adult development, health and wellness, social and emotional
intelligence. She is expert in Acceptance and Commitment Training, an evidence-based program to
build psychological flexibility through strengthening emotional agility, situational awareness, and
values-based action. Ms. Read has coached and trained leaders and teams in crisis both in the U.S. and
overseas. She is a certified in Korn Ferry’s Lominger Leadership and Team Architect Suite, Vangent’s
Leadership Assessment (Campbell and LH-STEP), Social and Emotional Intelligence coaching a
Human Systems Dynamics Professional. She is highly trained in Integral and Transformation
Leadership, two of the high forms of leadership. Ms. Read has strong cross-cultural and
intergenerational skills having lived abroad most of her life. She has native fluency in English and
French and has some command of Arabic (Moroccan dialect). Her professional experience spans the

Coaching:
Executive and Leadership: Worked with short-term overseas project team leaders and
long-term chiefs of party to develop better team management skills and emotional agility
(TWG, LLC, 2011-2012 and MS4W, LLC, 2010-present). Provide assessment services and
coaching to leaders and staff in social and emotional intelligence. Provided ACT
training/coaching and Social and Emotional Intelligence coaching to health sector executives.

Team Resetting: Worked with expatriate and local staff in Afghanistan to identify causes for
lack of engagement and staff attrition, provided stress management training and crisis
intervention (ARD, Inc.). Supported AusAID team in Indonesia to examine causes of team
dysfunction and assisted in helping them to return to higher cohesion and synergy (TWG,
LLC); worked with team of doctors to re-establish trust, identify practice values and develop
renewed mission statement (MS4W, LLC, 2014). Coached head of National Center for State
Courts, International Division, in marketing services to USAID and the State Department

Organization/Team Values Identification – Work with health sector in facilitating values
identification tied in to visioning and mission statements. Trained groups to establish
values-based goals and action steps leading them closer alignment with their values and

Supported Foreign Service Career Transition Center in advising retiring State Department

Health and Wellness: Provided coaching in stress management and resilience to
international foreign assistance teams working in high conflict areas (i.e. Afghanistan, Sudan,
Iraq and Haiti); also provided individual life and wellness coaching for private pay clients
