EMMETT HIGH SCHOOL January 12, 2015 The Winter Drivers Ed Classes will begin February 4th and will end the last week of March. Applications are now available in the EHS office for pick up or you can go to the EHS website to download. The deadline to turn applications in is January 21st by 2:45pm. Students will be picked by chronological order of birthdays and receipt of applications. Seniors, it’s not too late to order a senior shirt. A second order will be placed next Friday. Cost is $15. Order today in the office or see one of the senior class officers. BPA Meeting on Tuesday during lunch, room M-1. There will be a TRACK meeting tomorrow during advisory in the gym for all students interested in track this year. There will be a Sources of Strength meeting on Tuesday and Thursday of this week in the Counselor's office. Tee shirts will be available for those who haven't received them yet. BPA Regionals will be on Wednesday, hosted by our BPA Club starting at 2:30 p.m. in the Atrium. Thanks to our staff, students and administration for supporting this event! Tomorrow, mid-term grades will be handed out during advisory. If you have a library fine, your progress report will be in the library. Any student with a fine will have that notice in his/her e-mail. The next ACT test will be given here at Emmett High School on Saturday, February 7. Today, Jan 12, is the last day to sign up for this test. Go to www.actstudent.org . Seniors, the absolute last day to submit pictures and quotes is January 15 for the yearbook with a $35 late fee. Parents, Senior Ads for the yearbook are due by Jan 23. (1/8 page $25 1 or 2 pictures) OR (1/4 page $50–up to 3 pictures). Pictures will not be sized equally. Go to EHS website under Resource tab for an order form. Attention Juniors and Seniors. If you have ever thought about entering the military services after graduation this announcement is for you. The ASVAB, (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery), will be given at Emmett High School on Wednesday, January 21. Please sign up in the counselor’s office by Friday, January 16. See Mr. Roeper if you have any questions. Seniors & Parents - The Annual Project Graduation Cake Auction will be at the Tip-Off game, January 23, against Weiser. Lots of cakes are needed and we need lots of seniors there to carry cakes to the gym to be auctioned off. Cakes need to be delivered to the gym foyer between 4pm and 5pm the evening of the 23rd. See you there! Calling all pianists! The EHS jazz band is looking for a piano player. Rehearsals are after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-4:45. No jazz experience necessary.
