Aimed at business owners or managers of SMEs with 10 employees or more, the course will help you assess your options, using best practice and latest thinking to create action plans for growth. Individual half-day workshops can also be booked. The programme is delivered through a combination of taught modules, group discussions and individual exercises. We use leading and trusted models based on our research and experience to give you a detailed grounding in growth frameworks. Creativity and Innovation Lab, 11 February 2016, PM A workshop focused around creativity and managing and fostering innovation. Develop new insights and ideas into innovation as a driver for growth within your organisation. You will be able to: Develop your creative thinking. Explore different types of innovation applicable to your organisation. Discuss innovation ideas and problems through case-based discussions. Finance for Non-Financial Managers, 23 March 2016, AM Understanding the financials has never been more vital for the leaders and managers of organisations. In this practical and interactive workshop you will: Develop knowledge of finance and understand how decisions can affect the financial health performance of a business. Learn what action you can take to positively impact the bottom line. Strategic Management for Innovation and Growth, 23 March 2016, PM A workshop based around turning ideas into commercial reality. You will consider: Creating a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation. Managing technology opportunities, product development, business models and innovation. Lean Processes and Resource Optimisation, 5 May 2016, AM A workshop focused on solving problems and improving business processes whilst improving process speed and quality. You will be able to: Understand the concept of ‘lean’ and its application to non-manufacturing businesses. Develop processes to increase efficiency within your business. Receive practical help to implement efficient techniques. Effective Supply Chain Management, 5 May 2016, PM This workshop looks at supply chain risk and how it affects business. The workshop will explore the principles of business sustainability. International Strategy, 29 June 2016, PM The workshop is designed to provide a toolkit for achieving successful internationalisation. You will be able to: Explore different models for internationalisation of SMEs and large companies in emergent economies/markets. Understand the current trends in international policy aimed to enhance the international operation of firms. Critically observe key sectors with potential for future development. Understand some of the tools for strategic planning of international operations; varying from selfdiagnostic tools to standard analyses in resources and capabilities, market drivers, international strategy and strategic choices. Developing a Marketing Strategy, 12 July 2016, AM The workshop is designed to help businesses identify the key activities of strategic marketing. It will look at how to turn marketing ideas into action, how to access new markets and exploit market opportunities.
