Grand Knight’s Report
I want to thank everyone for a
great fraternal year, and I am
looking forward to an even better
year this next fraternal year. I
would like to ask each member to
step up and volunteer their time at
a Knight’s function because it
takes all the members to make a
successful council. Please inform
the officers where you would like
to serve. Thank you to all the
Knights who participated and
helped with the successful “Taste
of St. Thomas”. We are planning
many new programs this year and
need members to help with those
programs. Remember to look at
the web page, kofc10930.org, for
updates and the events calendar.
Please attend either the Regular
Business meeting (the second
Tuesday of the month) and/or the
Planning Meeting (the fourth
Tuesday of the month) so we can
have YOUR input on YOUR
council. Our council is involved

in several events including HWY
CLEAN-UP which is a family
outing, on Saturday July 11, look
for other details on the Web
Events Calendar. Everyone have a
safe 4th of July Weekend, and
remember it is a time to Honor our
country and Flag.

Dynamics and then Lockheed. He
very much enjoys fishing.

Mike has been a Knight for nearly
4 years. He and Mary were born
and raised in New Orleans. They
grew up in houses next to each
other and that’s how they met.
They came to Ft Worth when
Mike was in the military. They
have been at St Thomas about 4
years. They have 3 children and 8
grandchildren. Mike works as an
investor and target shoots when he
has time. He has travelled to
Rome. Mary has a degree in
archeology and enjoys working
with stained glass.

Thought for June
It is sad that many children leave their Catholic faith when they become adults. This has distressed many
parents. It would be useful if there were some way of knowing if your children really knew and
appreciated their faith before they left home. If their child’s faith was weak, a parent could then make
extra effort to teach them.
Actually there are several ways to measure your child’s strength of faith. Do you ever see them
going to Mass on their own, making visits to the Blessed Sacrament now and then, saying the Rosary, or
reading the Bible. Do they go to confession on their own? If you see them doing some or all of these
things on their own without you making them do it, then you can be sure they will keep their faith.
There is also one more important sign to know whether they will keep their faith. Do your children
ever see you doing those things?
