Med-Peds ACGME Rotation Requirements Below are the ACGME requirements for Med-Peds residents as of 7/1/2014 and the number of weeks of each that must be met to graduate. Obviously, some of these, such as supervisory roles & direct patient care, overlap and are met during scheduled rotations. Residents must have a minimum of 36 half-day sessions per year. At GHS that will primarily consist of an entire day each week of both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics clinics for a half day each. On some rotations, only a half day per week is allowed and in that case the weeks will alternate Peds and Internal Medicine Clinics. Some wards rotations will not have clinics at all. In the case that a resident is on back-to-back wards rotations where there is usually no clinic, an interventional clinic may be scheduled.
