MEETING NOTES:
1. Welcome
2. Chairperson and secretary: Oonagh was elected chairperson, Eimer was elected
secretary.
3. Green Flag Application-pending.
4. Eco-code Oonagh read out the eco code. All teachers to teach it out to their class.
5. Action Plan was shared with Council
6. Litter-Policy, Wrigley’s Litterless Campaign-Oonagh, Shamaima, Aoife and Eimer to
help with application. Areas of grounds to be assigned to different classes to keep
clean.
7. Recycling –Paper, Milk cartons: classes to remember to rinse out cartons and place in
recycling bin.
8. Energy-Policy to be written, Class monitors, Power down day Nov 7-Wear green. Ecosurvey
9. Visit to Hollybush PS-BOG and 2 eco-council members to se Bio-mass boiler
10.Cross Border Challenge certificate and prizes: prizes given out in assembly.
11. Scarecrow competition-Prize giving 23 October : we got highly commended
traditional. We are invited to the prize giving .
12. Bulb Planting/Appeal for green plants to purify air:
13. Cash for clobber: school will get money for any bags brought in, collection on 23
October .
14. Book bank outside school gates. All books sold in aid of British Heart Foundation
