A Resolution
To Support Adding Circle of 6 to the This Is Nevada App
Whereas, students have expressed a desire to have a safety app included in the This Is Nevada

app;
Whereas, a safety app can help create a safer environment for Nevada students, decrease sexual
4
assault on campus, and give students a user-friendly resource to be safe and leave uncomfortable
5
situations;

Whereas, the Circle of 6 app was the “winner of the 2011 White House and HHS ‘Apps Against
7
Abuse’ Technology Challenge and winner [of the] Avon Foundation for Women/Institute of
8
Medicine ‘Ending Violence @Home’” (circleof6app.com);

Be it resolved that, the Senate of the Associated Students of the University of Nevada is in support
of the Circle of 6 app being included in the This is Nevada app.
Be it further resolved that, a copy of this resolution be sent to the Coordinator of Technology
Projects and Support, Raul Rodriguez.
