MATH: Please continue to practice multiplication facts. We will be taking MATH
MASTERS timed practices each week. We are working in Ch. 4 – Understanding
Multiplication.
ELA: Reading: The standard will be: 3RL.5.1 Ask and answer literal and inferential
questions to determine meaning; refer explicitly to the text to support inferences and
conclusions. We will have different text that supports the standards and the weekly
test will not be on the basal. It will be on the standard. The basal is one tool that will
be used for the standard.
Spelling Words: No spelling words this week.
Writing/Grammar: Helping Verbs, Multiple Paragraphs, & Explanatory
Science: Current Unit of Study: We are finishing our study of Rocks, Minerals, Soils,
Fossils, and Fuels.

What: Each student that brings $5 or more will come to the PE room during RA and join us
for our annual JRFH celebration: activities and healthy snacks.
Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 for the American Heart Association.
SOCKTOBER
Third grade will collecting socks for the needy during the rest
of October. Any size and gender is needed. Men’s, women’s, or
children’s socks.
