Position Description Part A - Role Specification Role Title: Senior Manager and Fund Structure & Data Management & Reporting Team: Investment Operations Platforms & Programs Team Position Statement (succinct statement of why the position exists) The Senior Manager Fund Structure & Data will develop and manage the investment department’s plans and processes regarding the management and distribution of data. This role will play a critical part in defining the data architecture and the systems and processes to deliver the data to up-stream systems that support: Portfolio reporting Attribution Portfolio modelling Risk; and Other analytics This role will also oversee the design and maintenance of the Fund structure. The Investment Operations Platforms & Programs Team is responsible for operationalising the Investment Management Department strategic agenda. The Team develops and deploys new investment management platforms, systems, solutions and improvement initiatives. The Team also has responsibility for ensuring that existing investment management platforms and systems are maintained and continuously improved. The Investment Operations Platforms & Programs Team works closely with the Investment Department leadership and takes projects and initiatives from “early stage initiation” through to the actual “deployment” of new systems, processes and capability into the Investment Department. The Senior Manager of Data – Management, Systems and Reporting will be responsible for articulating the Investment Department’s strategic agenda for the FY2015 – 2017 period and for defining an operational plan for the delivery of the strategic agenda to the management of data. This will include, but not be limited to, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, (system, platform and data) vendors and ensuring processes and systems are robust, scalable and aligned to the emerging Fund approach to data document1
