Stakeholder Perspectives
Local & Federal Governments
Location: Genesee Suites

A wind project, not unlike any community project, of any
size is viewed differently by the various people and
organizations which are directly or indirectly associated. In
order to maximize the potential for success in implementing
a distributed or community wind project, it is important to
better understand the variety of perspectives and issues
that different stakeholders have when a distributed or
community wind project comes to their town. This will be a
discussion panel among stakeholders who represent
landowners, local planners, state energy officials, project
developers, utilities, bankers, and community organizers.
This session will focus on educating decision makers and
government leaders about the benefits of wind energy.
Attendees will learn about how to get their projects started,
as well as, successful case studies.
