BTO RAFFLE 2015 RULES
Availability of tickets
BTO staff and their families are excluded from playing the Raffle. Woods Group Ltd employees are
excluded from playing the Raffle.
There will be no unsolicited mailing of tickets to non-members of the BTO. Tickets will only be sent
directly to members of BTO or its Garden BirdWatch scheme or those who have previously requested
them.
In addition, anyone may play online at our website page, hosted by Woods Group Ltd,
www.raffleentry.org.uk/bto.
Tickets may not be sold on the street.
Applications must be from players aged 16 years old or over. No person under this age is allowed by
law to enter the BTO Raffle. Online players must confirm that they are aged 16 or over.
Any person who has entered BTO Raffle who is under 16 years old will automatically forfeit any prize
and will be excluded from future entries. If a person under 16 years old is found to have participated in
a lottery after the lottery draw has taken place, then a full refund will be made to that person and any
prizes that might otherwise have been due to them will not be paid out. If prizes have already been
paid out, all reasonable attempts will be made to recover them.
Payment
Tickets are priced at £1 each. This is written upon the ticket and stated on the website. They may not
be sold for any more or less than the stated price.
Tickets should be retained by the ticket holder as this bears their number. If entering online, your
ticket numbers will be displayed on the screen and emailed to you.
Ticket stubs must be returned to the address given with a valid payment by 9th February 2015. If an
entry is received after 9th February 2015 then it will be treated as a donation.
Payment may be by cheque or by payment card details. CAF vouchers cannot be accepted. Cash
should not be sent through the post.
Tickets may also be bought online by making a card payment.
If for any reason a payment is returned as unsuccessful the participant will be contacted in the first
instance, and if no payment is subsequently received, the entry will be removed from the draw.
Proceeds will be paid by Woods Group Ltd into the BTO bank account.
Draw
The draw will take place on 16th February 2015.
If the draw date is changed then all reasonable steps will be taken to ensure that participants are
made aware.
The winning numbers will be selected at random from the combined entry stubs and online entries via
a Random Number Generator so that no unfair advantage can be gained
The five winners will be notified by email, telephone or letter and a list of winning numbers provided
on our website at www.bto.org/raffle. BTO reserves the right to publish the names of winners.
There are no cash alternatives to the prizes.

Self-Exclusion
Players, including online players, may at any time request by phone, post or email to be excluded
from receiving further raffle ticket mailings or may unsubscribe from e-newsletters promoting the
raffle. A self-exclusion form can be provided if necessary.
This information will be added to our database so that they do not receive tickets or specific marketing
material. This will be for a period of at least 6 months, but a longer time period may be specified. After
this time the individual must contact us and ask that we resume sending tickets to them.
Complaints
Complaints about the raffle should be addressed to the Promoter, Ieuan Evans, at BTO, The
Nunnery, Thetford, Norfolk IP24 2PU, telephone 01842 750050, email ieuan.evans@bto.org. If the
complaint remains unresolved it will be referred to the Director of the BTO. If it still remains
unresolved thereafter it will be referred to the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS) for
independent resolution.
A log will be kept of all complaints received and the actions taken. A copy of the decision or a note of
the outcome of each dispute referred to IBAS will be provided to the Gambling Commission quarterly.

(www.gamblingcommission.co.uk). BTO is a registered charity, No.216652 (England and Wales)
