Welcome To Fourth Grade Dear Fourth Graders and Parents, Welcome to the fourth grade! My name is Mrs. Wright and I will be your teacher in the 2013/2014 school year. I am looking forward to meeting you on Monday, August 19th, and start our incredible year together. I hope you have had an enjoyable summer and are ready for many new and exciting experiences. The fourth grade team has worked hard to prepare an educational and fun-filled fourth grade year for you packed with interesting curriculum, extraordinary field trips and amazing learning adventures. So, put on your thinking caps and get ready to learn, discover and have the time of your life. Our district has provided a supply list appropriate for 4th grade on our website. (Note, this is a donation list) Yet, the list below is specific to our class. Please take a look at the list and have your supplies by Monday, August 19th, if possible. Here are few other things that may help for a smooth transition to fourth grade and a great new school year. School Supplies 1. Small pencil box (8x5x3) 2. 6 2-pocket Plastic Folders (for homework and organizing schoolwork. These are used in lieu of a 3 ring binder, which I would rather them not use. They don’t fit in the desks very well. 3. 2 Composition Books (any color) 4. 2 Spiral Notebooks 5. A ruler (with standard and metric) 6. 1 box of each: THIN dark colored erase markers, Thick Crayola Classic markers, colored pencils (regular size, please no max packs) 7. 2 Dozen #2 Pencils, Dixon Ticonderoga (sharpened please) 8. A clean sock (to use as an eraser) 9. 1 Pair of scissors (med – large are easier to use) 10. 2 Glue sticks, red thin point marker, black Sharpie marker 10. 2 boxes of Klennex and 2 containers of wipes I look forward to seeing everyone at Back to School Night, August 28th and at that time, I will give you an overview of the Fourth Grade Curriculum and discuss our classroom schedule, rules and my expectations for the students.
