individual.

Psychiatry and Psychotherapy clinics
Involuntary Treatment Services for Inpatient Psychiatry
Harborview Medical Center
206-744-8519
There are several modes of providing help to BP patients.
Seeing faculty. Very unusual. Up to the faculty to provide as extra responsibilities beyond their job.
Harborview psychiatry residents training clinic. Help for up to 2 years, both meds and psychotherapy available.
Limitations: Need a referral by another psychiatrist. This can be a primary care doctor from UW Physicians
neighborhood clinics.
Clinic has ebbs and flows, in terms of space available (#s of patients that can be accepted, based on comings and
goings of residents, times of year (as semester? Quarter? Whatever goes on, fewer slots). Harborview is working
on this, providing more care. Can apply for charity care if income is less than $2000 per month. Above that, pay is
on sliding scale.

OTHER RESOURCES IN PUGET SOUND AREA
“Need Help Finding Help”- what’s available from community resources, by zip code or city- has links to mental
health services. Is really amazing what it offers via links. Though some are for insurance patients only, still could
be useful to drill down to get resources.
