Students will self-evaluate beneficial accommodations/ modifications for success and self-identify to request these in high school, postsecondary education, and post-secondary employment. Quarter 2: Students will select appropriate post-secondary employment goals. Students will identify and enroll in programs from the department of Human Services that meet their individualized employment goals. Students will complete community-based activities to develop career goals. Quarter 3: Students will select appropriate post-secondary education goals. Students will explore, apply, and evaluate postsecondary educational institutions based on their individualized goals. Students will select appropriate community supports and funding opportunities to allow them to participate in their selected postsecondary programs, with particular emphasis on Quarter 4: Students will develop appropriate post-secondary independent living options, identifying needed supports for transition into adulthood. Students will complete exit interviews and Senior Summary Reports. This is in addition to their student portfolio that has been used throughout their career at ACE Tech. Attendance Policy: Every student is expected to be in school each day on time. If you are absent, your parent or guardian must call the school. When you return, you must bring in a note to the Main Office. Mrs. Ford-Criss will verify that your absence is excused and mark it in PowerSchool. You must be in your seat when the bell rings or you will be considered Tardy. Excessive Tardies and/or absences will be referred to the Dean of Students, and will be addressed according to School Policy. Late Work Policy: If your absence is excused, you will have the opportunity to make up missing work. You will have the same number of days that you were absent to turn it in. So, if you were absent from school for two days, your makeup work is due two days later. Student participation is required, and family support will many times be needed. Students are expected to honestly consider their options and share their future goals. Students are expected to respect the privacy and dignity of others in class at all times. Failure to comply with this policy will result in disciplinary procedures. Students will be participating in community-based learning often in this program. They are expected to exhibit respectful behavior that reflects the policies and vision of ACE Technical School and demonstrate the professionalism and employability skills taught and practiced in class in these activities.
