Students each take one of the bingo cards provided. Alternatively, blank bingo cards can be used: the students choose which animals will be on their card and write them in the spaces. This way, you can let students choose from the above word list or create your own list. Then, bingo is played as usual, using one of these methods: 1) Picture bingo: the teacher can hold up flashcards at random with pictures of the animals used (possible flashcards provided below). 2) Description bingo: the teacher gives a description of the animal (e.g., this animal lives on the farm and gives us milk; students cross out “cow” if it is on their card). 3) Teacher puts names (or pictures) of animals in a hat, and students take turns to take a card and describe the animal on it for the rest of the class.
