Supplementary information Mechanism of mechanical quenching and mechanoluminescence in phosphorescent CaZnOS:Cu Dong Tu, Chao-Nan Xu, Yuki Fujio, Akihito Yoshida Figure S1. The emission spectrum (LS) and the excitation curve (ER) of CZOSC collected by using an integrating sphere. The excitation curve without sample (ES) was also collected for calculation. The inset shows a magnification of the emission spectrum. All the spectra used excitation light at 335 nm. The external and internal quantum yields of CZOSC sample are determined as 7.0% and 8.9%, respectively. According to the references,1,2 the quantum yields of famous phosphorescent materials ZnS:Cu and ZnSe:Cu are reported to be 1.9% and 2%-4%, respectively. It indicates that the quantum yield of CaZnOS:Cu is higher than the Cu-doped materials ZnS:Cu and ZnSe:Cu. References 1 Klausch A, Althues H, Schrage C, Simon P, Szatkowski Am, et al..
