CALL FOR ERASMUS WORK PLACEMENT University of Maribor, Slovenia Dr Janja Hojnik from University of Maribor, Slovenia, is accepting post-graduate students under the Erasmus work placement programme for traineeships – opportunity to get experience in teaching and research. Emphasis is given on teaching our students foreign legal terminology – French, English, German and other important foreign languages (Russian, Spanish, Italian). A person with good knowledge of French would be needed since September 2015, for English since February 2016, other languages when possible. Those interested in research work should have preference for EU law. Dr Janja HOJNIK is Associate Law Professor of the University of Maribor, Faculty of Law. Vice-dean for research and international relations (2015-2019). Teaching and researching in the field of EU Law. She has written widely on various EU economic law issues. She is a Member of national and international research projects, acted as a speaker at numerous law conferences and seminars in Slovenia and abroad. Holder of two Jean Monnet projects of the European Commission. Visiting lecturer at University of Ljubljana, Institut d'etudes politiques (Paris), Charles University (Prague), Kingston University (London), Luxembourg University, Karel Franzens University (Graz, AUT), Central European University (Budapes), Edinburgh Napier University etc. Coaching teams for the EU Law Moot Court Competition, organiser of the negotiations competition for Slovenian law students. Recipient of the Slovenian Law Societies’ Association award for the most out-standing achievement in the field of law among young lawyers in 2010, of four awards for 10 most influential lawyers in Slovenia in 2011-2014 according to an open internet poll performed by IUS Software d.d., as well as of the Centre for International Legal Studies (Salzburg) award for achievements in the field of legal research and writing (2013). She is a member of the Slovenian EU Law Society, fellow of the European Law Institute (ELI, Vienna), member of the Academic Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES, London) and an honorary member of the Romanian Association of Law and European Affairs (Bucharest). She is a member of a group of authors preparing a commentary on the Treaty on Functioning of the EU for Springer Publishing (eds. Blanke/Mangiameli), responsible for provisions on free movement of goods; in 2014-15 she was a member of a group of legal experts appointed by the Slovenian government to advise the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on implementation of the ECtHR judgment in the case of former Ljubljanska banka depositors; since August 2015 she is a member of the strategic group "Future Champions Group", appointed by the Slovenian Government to prepare a development strategy for Slovenia 2050. Coordinator of the EU Commission's project "Central European Law Conference for Students (Maribor, 2016)".
